1 year old cream legbar has never laid an egg!

What happened was, I sold this lady a goat from outstanding bloodlines. I wanted $150 for him with paperwork which really was a great price for his bloodlines I paid $800 for his mom...anyway, the lady didn't want to pay more than $100 so she offered me a breeding pair of cream legbars. But when we got to her farm, she didn't let us choose, she grabbed the worst looking female, we didn't get to pick. She looked the most washed out in color from the rest, and I have hatched a female cream Legbar since that is amazing compared to this other hen. Anyway...I'm just irked.

Well, you know not to do business with her again!

I am a new chicken momma and I started off with 2 cream legbar, silver laced wyandettes, lavender orpington, and an EE. My cream legbar is 10 months old when we bought them but they haven't laid for me in the 3 weeks since we brought them home. :'( Is this the normal? My girls and I are anxiously awaiting blue eggs!
