1 Year Old Wyandotte Can't Hold her head up suddenly- UPDATED with happy ending šŸ˜

Pics
Penny is slowly showing signs of improvement.. very very very slowly- see below video and let me know if you agree.

Plan is to keep feeding to get her strength up to see if she can turn it around

Holding her head up, more alert and preening her chest feathers.

I am going to keep treating her... here is our routine

25 ml of nutridrench, water, raw egg, layer pellet mash x 3 a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner)

10 ml of doxicyclone x2 a day

1 ml of Metacam x2 a day

vitamin e x2 a day

half b complex x1 a day

plain water 9 ml several times a day

activated charcoal x2 a day

Does her crop seem to be emptying by the next morning? Is she passing droppings, and how are they looking? Can she move her legs or stand up at this point? Hopefully, she will gradually get better. You are taking very good care of her. I’m not sure if the charcoal needs to be given at this point, but maybe azygous will say.

Thank you so much, her poops are normal and regular. Her crop is working normally and she is VERY strong in moving, pushing and kicking her legs and is very good at flapping her wings. My next step is to put her in a sling holding her upright keeping weight on her feet slightly.

She also just ate two blueberries lol

Okay.. I am leaning towards wry neck. Here she is tonight, I fed her scrambled eggs and syringe fed water. She is still on vit e and b, but I am thinking of dropping the charcoal. Thoughts?

She has interest in food, but won't eat or drink on her own.

I still don't have the lead and zinc poisoning results back from the vet.

I have ruled out botchulism at this point because she is not paralyzed.

As you can see she has gained control of her neck.

My thoughts are to continue to feed her as that is why she is lethargic.

She needs her strength to get better and walk.

I will be home with her all day until Tues so hoping we will continue to see progress.

Please let me know your thoughts.

She also didn't love the sling so I am not forcing it currently.
