Hey everyone
i have 10 chickens right now but i will have 16 chicken soon. i have 8x15 Run but i do let them free range all day . question is when i go away for a weekends is that enough room for 16 chickens for 3 days.

Just as, or more, important is how big the coop is.
....and when going away there are many other aspects to take into consideration.

Hello knapp8425.
Welcome to BYC.
Providing you have someone reliable to provide feed and water on a daily basis and check that no predators have got in that should be enough room given you would normally free range. I doubt the chickens will like it much but if the run is secure and the above covered they should not come to any harm.

Agree it'll work, if you provide food, water and protection but keep in mind that half a dozen chickens will lay waste to all vegetation in a run of that size. They'll have a great time digging holes and dusting themselves though.

Aart I have two coops both are both 8 x8 and I think I will making my run longer this weekend 8x24 my neighbors always take care of them when I am away I just ask them to not let them free range .. I work from home so I am able to watch them all day when I let them out

yes I do I have great neighbors that have goats and horses and don't travel much so they collect the eggs and feed and give them fresh water if I am gone for the day .. I haven't had any problems with predators . the whole coop and run is covered with welded wire
thank you for your help I am still new to having chickens and still learning ..

It's a pleasure. It's nice to find someone actually thinks about these things before they go away.;)
Have a good trip.
