Providing you have someone reliable to provide feed and water on a daily basis and check that no predators have got in that should be enough room given you would normally free range. I doubt the chickens will like it much but if the run is secure and the above covered they should not come to any harm.
It's a pleasure. It's nice to find someone actually thinks about these things before they go away.yes I do I have great neighbors that have goats and horses and don't travel much so they collect the eggs and feed and give them fresh water if I am gone for the day .. I haven't had any problems with predators . the whole coop and run is covered with welded wire
