If the cage is too small get them in something bigger if you have it (floor space wise) if you can’t do that safely cover the glass (heat sources and objects near them freak me out because ) taping paper to the glass to stop reflections and them seeing out should help. Or give them some cover (if they’r sleeping under a heat source, this might not be possible obviously) an overturned box with a hole cut as a door, branches they can shelter under, or fake plants over and around them. If they can’t see things startling them and feel hidden they sit tight better and should stop doing that (mostly)

i can maybe take out the two youngest, i dont have enough heat lamps for everyone if i did three groups, ill have to look at what iv got to work with in the morning.

is it just picking on the smallest sort of aggression then you think?

Possibly, now that’s it’s morning how did it go?

I'm going to try giving them a nightlight first. I'll switch out the ceramic heater for a blue night heat bulb. I'll update you guys tonight on how that went. Might have to give them somthing brighter.

Operation nightlight appears to be a success. Lights have been out for 2 hours now and no one has started a riot. The real test will be if they wake me up at 2am again but so far so good.

Thus far no one seems to actually be asleep. Two are camped out but awake and the rest are puttering around. Not as active certainly, but calmer and winding down for bed I guess.

Cant believe their scared of the dark.
