10 gone without a trace!

Last night I lost my 8 chicks and the 2 mother silkies raising them out of a completely enclosed run. It's got solid plywood walls, but there is fencing on the top, and wire on the whole bottom covered with dirt. It looks like something dug under, and somehow got through the wire (which is maybe like 1x1.5 "), and got all the chickens back through. But there are no large amounts of feathers besides the ones that my white silkie just normally sheds quite a bit, and I don't see any blood. And I don't understand how he got all the chicks through there which are a couple months old and the roos were pretty big, let alone the adults!
