Yes. This is probably the case. She's the eldest at the moment. 3 yrs old.

I don't think the rooster is infertile. I have had excellent hatches from him previously.

I incubated 32 eggs from three BO hens and one BR hen all housed w an AC cock that all grew up together. Equal amounts from each hen and only the BRs eggs hatched. I thought it was a “lethal gene combo” but after posting about it now I think he was only mounting the BR. Very weird
Edit: I should add that I didn’t candle or eggtopsy. I didn’t realize they were all from the BR until they started maturing

Yes, he might.
People can tell which hens are laying, by looking at their combs and wattles and vents.
I would expect a rooster to be even better than people at knowing which hens are able to lay eggs
