'10 hatch Split to Silver Fulvous Whistling Duck Pair

How far does their whistling sound (so cool!) travel would you say? I coulddddd make a little trap door so they could get into the attached storage shed, section off that end of that shed and fill it with hay in the winter so they could get out of the bad cold and snow...if they would. I just don't know how loud that call is, and if its' at night, would my neighbor on the other side of my house hear it?

I did sell some on auction, not here not here though. If you want some they were looking for new nest today since all 12 of the other eggs got rolled out and were cold when I found them. I rearranged some of the ground boxes and they were very interested. She is breeding the Silver this time. I thought he was going to dround her today. he stole her away from her split mate being he is head Drake. Silver x Silver Split = 50% Silver, 25% Split, & 25% Normal if I am correct. Ask Boggy he would know for sure
You can e-mail me privately about eggs.

Lisa they are truly a Southern Duck(Texas, La, Fla, & Mexico) and I honestly don't believe they would make it in extreme cold without proper heat and they still need water to bath in winter to keep in good feather and waterproofed. I sent 6, 6 month old Ringed Teal to MA in October. It was still very warm here but they were having lows to the 40's already. He lost every one of them over winter in a heated area of his barn. He lost 2 the first week from Shipping Stress. It happens sometimes

OK, Thanks. (I'm such a addictive person-buying a few Mandarins really has started something ....agh!) When I want something, I really want it too. I would do just about anything to get it if it was possible, but I wouldn't want anything to happen to them that would hurt them either. PLEASE someone down south buy these from her??? Someday when I move further south, I'll get some. I love the silver babies especially! Thanks for answering....I'd feel awful if I got them and they died next winter!

ROFL Lisa I am the same way. I started with Mandarins first. Were drove 5 hrs each way to get them since the lady did not ship and I had no idea there was a duck world out there with many sources. I have learned lots in the last 5 yrs lol

Very Pretty!
