Hello, I think I have a couple chickens with favus. One was positively diagnosed by a vet months ago. I’ve tried miconizole, but I couldn’t keep up with twice a day every day. I have a 10% iodine I could use, but I know that’s a higher percentage than recommended. Do you think I could still use it for a couple days to wipe it out? Sounds like The concern would be skin irritation if I use too much too often. Has anyone had success with iodine?

It looks like it is povidone iodine. I attached an image of the product. I don’t have a good pic of their combs. They’re 3 that might have it. Can be hard to tell since they’re dry comb skin looks a little flakey white anyway. But the very top tip of their combs are white/chalkier then any of the others. I applied it yesterday and will again tomorrow. I’ll post updates. :) thankfully it’s summer which should help significantly in killing it of with the sunshine too.
