I have a 10 month old Blue JG pullet that has had diarrhea for around 12 days it is colored just like the Kalmbach flock maker I feed all of them. It does smell off compared to normal poop. A little bit of urates showing but not much. It looks like slurry. Of course a pasty looking butt. She has droopy wings and tail part of the time and somewhat lethargic. I treated all of our birds including her 10 days ago with Albendazole for round worms and I am giving the second dose today. I isolated her a few days ago. No other birds with these symptoms. I don`t think she has been laying for a while, but not certain. Very likely not in he last 12 days. I usually notice who goes in to lay but not always. Her vent is not wide and moist like a laying bird`s should be. She eats and drinks a little but not much. I have given her some probiotics and ACV once, today I gave her some electrolites with vitamins. Any ideas? @Eggcessive @Wyorp Rock, anyone else?

I'm sorry she's not doing well.

Is she molting?
Crop emptying?

I'd also check for lice/mites. If she's not laid and really should have, then I'd also give her extra Calcium for a few days to see if she expels an egg or lash material. I give mine 300mg Calcium Citrate+D3 which can be found at stores like Walmart, CVS, etc. or you can give a TUMS once daily.

She isn`t molting at the moment. Yesterday her crop felt a bit funny like kind of shriveled up. No lice or mites that I noticed but I will double check her. She should be laying all of my other March hatched pullets are laying as they should be. I did insert a lubricated finger into her vent a little ways an I did not feel anything. I have calcium citrate with d+3 on hand although I think it is 600 mg. Of course I can break it in two. I just finished the second dose of Albendazole on the other 21 birds. Would you go ahead and give her the second dose as well? Thanks for the reply! 🙂

Yes, I'd give her the follow-up dose of Albendazole.

Usually it's 2 tablets of Calcium that equal 600mg, look at your bottle to see. If that's the case, then pop 1 Whole Tablet right into the beak and let her swallow.

Work on hydration, electrolytes or sugar water is fine. Re-check her crop first thing in the morning.
