10 month old RIR sprouts new tail feathers

I have two RIR that looked identical until the other day when one sprouted a ton of long up pointing tail feathers. No crowing...I thought roosters crowed by 5 months??

I suspect you're about to discover that this old myth isn't gonna cut it.

I've got Red cockerels that are 7 months old before they make a peep. Especially in the presence of his "superiors" there' no way he's gonna make a sound.

No eggs in the coop this morning... Just collected four...4 eggs 4 hens? I sure hope so!
