Ohhh...they will. I'm teaching them how to roost now in the brooder. Got a roost for them....even though DD thinks they need to roost in the top bunk with her.

She thinks she roost at night. I'm telling you she's a real character. Loves the chix as much as I do. Her homework papers always have doodles of chickens on them.

Her new Lady bird. As you can see in the siggy we lost our original. Peace lily did it.

She has her favorite chix. She is really warming up to the silkies since they have to be inside. Her new Lady Bird is a Standard Blue Chochin and she is truly a beautiful elegant bird with much personality.

Hi Charlinda! These Silkie chicks hatch *mostly* either white, blue, or splash (there shouldn't be any blacks).

Hi Jay! I don't know much about 'show quality' Silkies. Mine are correct as far as I can tell, but I (nor they) have ever been to a chicken show. Maybe someone said they won something at a fair with a white Silkie girl hatched from my girls' eggs, but I may be remembering wrong.

The Silkie eggs are spoken for til March 4th. I can put you down for then if you're interested.
