The chicks feather out really jet black- nice vaults and beards ( which I love beards) toe spacing has been great too-( not on all:-( -just being honest) I wrap very well and have never had a broken egg out of 40+ shipments since Decemeber...Im sure most of you know my drill so ask if you need any answers..Thanks guys

Wow!! The third picture had me so very confused. I thought the one in the middle had legs that were backwards. It took me a good long stare to figure out what was going on....

Could you squeeze a chick into the box??? JK

I know right??? They are so sweet too. I have to admit my husband is in love with the splits! He feeds and waters all of them in the mornings for me and never really paid attention to what was in the cages. Then I let them all out to free range last weekend from now on ( taking chances on no predators during daylight!) and he saw them and said Hunny where did those come from?

I said what on earth did you think I was incubating all winter? These are the ones I kept to breed silly-He's so funny. He says "hunny" they are so pretty... My DH said that! Now I know I have him hooked on them. he even asked if I was incubating more and I had to say no-not until those splits start laying then I will to get pure lavs-he was excited for sure....
