Purchased black sex links on March 7. Figuring they are a week old from hatch to market, my math puts them at 10 weeks old. Almost 3 months which I read somewhere is about the time to process them. Probably space it out a bit between a few weeks.
Is it better to do them all at once?
Should I seperate them from the eggers and reduce feed?
I was thinking I should have leg banded them to know which is which. I will have to post pictures making sure I dont take out an egger.
A friend says he has all the tools and will show me how its all done.

Are you meaning to process the BSL roosters or pullets? You were talking about wanting to be sure not to process the "eggers", which makes me believe you are intending to process any males - but the beauty of a sex-linked bird is that there should be no confusion regarding who is what so leg banding wouldn't really be necessary.

Oh sorry. the BSL are intended to be for meat, male or female. I have different varieties for eggs. I was hoping BSL would have a rooster or 2 but I think they are all hens.

I think these two are different.
I think black sex link.
