100 Broilers and Fermented Feed Project

They look much happier in Plan B!

They will soon not be able to fit in the feeders to get stuck. I just let them walk all in it for the first while until they were too big to fit through the holes.

I had shavings from the beginning, so anything on their feet seemed to come right off once they got out.

They will get the hang of FF, but sprinkle some dry on top to get them to peck at it. Seems to help.

Thanks. I thought so too about them looking happier. I am going out today to look for shavings. I will also sprinkle some dry on top of the FF.

Thanks for the tip.

You are going to be so busy this spring. You have a lot of animals by the looks of your signature!

All those ducks. You must go through a lot of water!

Yes, it's always so much to do at my place. A lot of water is right. Too much !!!

Just went outside for the 1st time today and I was pleased to see that it's getting warmer outside. It's 60 degrees in my area. Checked on the broilers and some brooders have sleeping babies and other brooder have babies that are up and pecking at their food. So far so good. No losses yet. :fl
