What's the minimum number of nesting boxes you would need for 100 hens?

They do free range. Most days they're out from 7am till about 7pm. I refuse to leave them out over night.

They can go in and out as they choose. Food and water stay in the coop 24/7

100 hens? Somebody is going to be collecting a lot of eggs. I was always told the more the merrier when it comes to nest boxes. Then the members of BYC informed me otherwise. Although I have more nest boxes than hens, those extra boxes come in handy when the broodies take over. I think 32 is a good number to start with as hens tend to share nest boxes anyway.
