I am not familiar with the mastiff breed but Great Pyrenees females do not typically do well with other females. I have only had success with male/ female LGD teams. I have never tried 2 females but know people who have and there is always quarrels. I have tried to keep 2 male Great Pyrenees with no success even when nutered. I believe you made the best decision
