Well the little chick that we hatched last weekend died this morning around 10...he was alive this morning, we have no idea what happened..he was a week old today.

...I did take pictures yesterday, but I do not know if i will post them now...sorry couldn't find my old post, must have over looked it....

More are hatching tomorrow......

and we are getting some in Friday from ideal....

.it's just so sad.

probably a good idea to try and discover what the cause was before the other chicks hatch and arrive... and do a good disinfect of any area the chick occupied.

here's hoping the others will all be perfectly healthy!

Yea i'm kinda wishing we werent getting anymore, we are putting these ones in a broode so they will not be where the little fella was just in case........

Awww, I'm sorry! I hope you don't give up though... it could have just been "one of those things". I'd do as Chickabee19 suggested... and then look forward to the new fuzzy butts. Keeping good thoughts for you...

He was eating and drinking had a little bald spot on his back...was that anything?? Does anyone know...Other then that he slept normal and chirped a lot...his feathering was coming in on his wings he looked healthy, except that bald spot....
