Elvira is 11 months old weighs 4.5 lbs. the weight has not seemed to change so far. We noticed that she was limping Sunday afternoon. I've been giving her aspirin in her water because I thought it was just a sprained leg or something like that. Yesterday she would try to get up to walk and would just flop over. I've been doing some research and only two diseases mirror what she might have Marek's and MS obviously I would rather the later since it is treatable. How can I tell which one it is? My neighbor is vet tech and gave me some metacam to give to her last night. She doesn't have any other symptoms except not walking. I have her seperated from the rest of my chickens and they aren't showing any signs of beening sick. She is eating and drinking although not as much as she should be. Her poop seem normal maybe a little on the runny side. I have an order in for Tylan the farm I got her from (here in Colorado) suggested I try it. I don't know what else I can do at this point. I've already takin her to a vet and he seemed to think it was Marek's but he had little experience with chickens and there isn't a vet here in Colorado that does
. I'm so very sad about this if she dies they have helped me through a very rough time in my life and losing even one is heartbreaking. Please help if you can. Thank you Nicole
