Hopefully someone can help me with one of my chicks. I have an 11 week old chick that seems to be at the bottom of the pecking order. We have noticed that she doesn’t preen, her face is pale and doesn’t seem to be developing a comb like her sisters of the same age. Today when I went to go check on them I noticed she was standing in corner with her eyes closed. I brought food with me to give to the girls and everyone was excited as usual except for her. She wouldn’t even take food from my hand. Please help!

How's her poop? I just went through this with mine and they had coccidiosis. I treated them with Corid (they're still on it) and they've all made a wonderful recovery. Their stance was identical to hers.

I think you might be right! I have noticed runny poop. How do you give the Corid? With a dropper?

Here is my thread about dosing my flock. I used the liquid (note the powder form has a different measurement).

No vitamins during treatment. You can give it after and between, but you feed should supply all they need. My flock wouldn't touch the vitamin water, so I skipped that part.

The corid water should be the only water available. You can also direct dose her to give her a boost while you are also treating the rest through the water source. I will try to get the direct dosage measurement and post it here.

I hope she gets better quickly.

Post #11 of this tread talks about direct dosage.

Here it is:

Here it is:

I don't know why it is doing that: I will just copy the text.

Undiluted Corid or amprollium can be given as a boost dose once or twice a day at 0.1 ml per pound of weight. But it is always given in the water as well. Dosage is 2 tsp of the Corid liquid or 1.5 tsp of the powder per gallon of water for 5 days. It is found in feed stores in the catrle medicines. Food can be sprinkled with the medicated Corid water if they are eating. I also wonder about the phosphorus suggestion. Did they give it to you or tell you to buy it? Phosphorus is in a lot of foods, and the balance of calcium and phosphorus is important to keep in the right balance.

For mine, I gave 2 top liquid Corid mixed in 1 gallon of water as the only water source for 5 days. And for my 2 that presented as very I'll, like yours, I gave a Corid drench. That is just straight liquid Corid in a syringe to the beak. The dose i used for that is in the screenshot of attached here. Because mine ain't with a pound yet, I used the dose per grams. I hope this helps!

Thank you! How many times did you do the Cori’s drench?
