Redthechickie
Chirping
One of my 11w RIR chick got attacked by my dog.
The babe's okay.
I rescued her before any more harm was done.
She had a very small puncture wound on her wing joint, plus a bruise in that same area.
I took her inside and treated her puncture wound with 50% rubbing alcohol finished off with Neosporin.
Cleaned her as much as she can allow me.
Then I placed her in her old brooder lined with fresh hay.
Poor thing was panting and in shock the whole time.
Luckily she pulled through the next day and is now drinking vitamins and electrolytes water mostly.
I got her to try to eat something which was crumbled hardboiled eggs with eggshells added for calcium.
She ate it hungrily, which was good.
BUT.
But I'm worried about her condition.
Yes, she is active.
She is sleeping at the moment.
I'm concerned about the size of her pupils.
She still looks like in shock yet she seems fine.
She is even pooping runny poo lately, but other than that nothing life threatening.
Is she doing fine, or do I still need to do more for her?
