Here she is at about 20 weeks. Definitely a pullet. The weirdo still crows every morning but at least it isn't too loud and pretty comical. She's an odd one but I adore her and how squeaky her voice is

I'm glad you got a pullet! And yes, for some reason Sebright females seem to crow more frequently than other breeds. I'm not sure why but maybe it is a side effect of the hen feathering gene that gets expressed in the males.

I've noticed this too.

Freaked me out the first time I saw one of my own do it when I was a kid! I thought I had another rooster for a while, until she started laying. Chickens are full of surprises.

She finally started laying recently and I caught her laying yesterday!

She hasn't crowed since she has layed and started crowing infrequently a couple weeks before laying. Before that she got to where she was crowing many times a day, many times in a row I miss her crowing fits but also not allowed to have roosters so it's probably for the best haha
