It hit 115 here today.
Ended up with 2 of the 6 eggs hatching and I would have gotten four had a been a little more patient. (we pipped two on our own and should have waited)
The last one piped and I simply took the membrane and shell off, it was ready to come out. Beautiful BWA X black Star hen and its got gorgeous blue down. I don't get the genetics there. We bought 3 RIR and 2 EEs to put them with. And she is just a beautiful doting mama but her comb is white. She's been drinking, getting rid of that icky broody poop and sampling the chick starter and some grass I put in with here. She really watches over the last one that hatches and lets the others climb all over her. Finally at least two chicks from a broody!
