Nice to see someone else hatching turkeys now. DD has somewhere around 90 turkey eggs incubating and due over the next 4 weeks! She is hoping for pure blacks, but with our flock she has the potential for some barred black, chocolate and barred chocolate too.

:celebrateOoooooooh, that'll be fun!!! What does one do with 90 turkeys? Sell or process or both? I've just got 3 eggs, all 3 are pipped & rockin'. I'm excited!

Well I do not imagine all 90 will hatch but the idea is for DD to have s good selection to take to our county fair in july. Some of the extras will be offered for sale and some offered for dinner.

Hopefully there will be a good hatch. Is she using her own hens eggs or were they bought local? She'll get a better hatch rate than if they were shipped eggs. I'm excited for these to hatch. My parents had a gobbler (and some peafowl) when my kids were little, they loved that ornery Turkey. He was more guard dog & prankster than turkey I think.

They are out of her/our flock. She decided on the best birds to use to try and hatch what she wants. I hope at least half hatch.
