11th Annual Easter Hatch a Long 2020

Hello All you Chicken Folks, I started my chicks a day later. I started with 44 eggs. I am down 5 for sure after candling. I have 8 Canadian Bresse, 7 Bresse x Meran, 5 Bresse x Bard Rock, 2 silkies, 12 Blue Bardrock x Meran. We shall see how it goes .
Does anyone have any tricks for cancelling dark Meran eggs?

I candled 22 of the eggs last night. I didn't see anything happening in 8 of the eggs. The other 12 are at our daughter's house. She hasn't candled those yet. Not sure why so many look like nothing is happening possibly too old. I didn't think to mark when I started saving them for this hatch. Late last week, we had one of our ameraucanas decide to go broody. We tried to break her but she's determined. Since we set 30 ameraucana eggs for the EHAL, I put 3 easter egger eggs + 4 silkie eggs under her. She seems happy with them.

I set 42 but after candling, found 3 didn't develop so I'm down to 39.

I hear TSC has been selling out on chicks as soon as they get them in. You might want to check around for that feed soon.
