I thought I did share them on this thread I guess not. Here's Ozzy and Dio my new Deathlayers...

I'll be using them for offspring in 3 weeks or more depending on when they start mating with my girls.

Eggtospy done on the 4 non hatchers. One I knew going to bed that its wasnt positioned right. I couldn't figure out where is head was to assist other than opening up from the aircell.. two internal piped and absorbed yolk but didn't make it to external pip.. the last one another one in the wrong position piped into its yolk..

Day 25 on 7 duck eggs. Still no external pips but all have internally pipped. 3-4 have drawn down and 1 is making the cutest little peeps. So they're getting there.

Dang, I didn't know about this. I set mine 2 days ago. ☹. I set RIR, EE, Leghorns and Plymouths. Do mine count?

Don’t know if mine count but 2 days ago 33 chicks hatched. I have another batch hatching between the 12th and 15th.

Well, the last chick didn’t make it through the night. Not sure what happened, but she was very tiny and seemed a little weak after hatch yesterday.

My first Easter baby is out! It's a Bantam Silkied Cochin and I think it's BLUE!!!! I'm so excited! I think I need to keep this one. I was hoping for blue or splash but was anticipating mostly black.

Bantam Silkie Cochin?! *goes to google to look up pictures* didn’t even know that was a thing! Oh no... I have the means to try to make standard ones

Are they a project of yours, or did you purchase eggs? (I’m sure you mentioned it somewhere on the thread, but it moves so fast I probably wouldn’t be able to find it lol). I’d love to see pictures!

I peeked at my lockdown Silkied Bantam Cochin eggs that are on day 20. I thought it was a great opportunity to show how much the air cell changed from day 17 to day 20 as the air cell draws down for hatch.

I also don't think the lone regular bantam Cochin egg is any good. I put it in lockdown because it was the only viable bantam Cochin (that wasn't silkied) but it looks like it quit.

EDIT to clarify, the first image looks good and I expect to see an external pip once I get up in the morning. The second image is the one that I think quit.
