I put them in egg cartons in the incubator for a couple days with no turning. As far as I could tell it didn't make any difference, but I got a nearly hundred percent hatch of those that started developing.
Eggs like that do better set upright in a rack and not on their sides.

Saddle egg hatch ok but detached air cells are in the 20% range

Thanks for the advice / info! :) I usually incubate air cell up, so that's easy enough for me to do.

Just a couple more questions that have come up here. (Sorry, this is my first real incubation attempt with shipped eggs and I'm super nervous. )

Should I leave them rest for a day or two, or would it be better to get them in the incubator as soon as possible? (I just had to tinker with the temp again not that long ago, so it'll be a little while still so that I'm sure it's steady.)

And also, two or three of them have just tiny smudges of what I'm pretty sure is poop on them. Should I try to wipe those off at all, or set them as is? I get eggs occasionally from my girls with poo on them, but it never seems to happen with the ones I want to incubate, so I guess I've never had this problem. :p

You can leave the detached air cells big end up and not turn them for 1 to two days. That can give them a chance to recover.

On other thing is to keep track of the air cell with a marker. At lockdown, if you see a pip that is not in the marked air cell, check to make sure that goo is not blocking the hole or if blood is coming out. They can get confused as to where to pip sometimes and will nee help if so. Help being to make sure the pip hole is not plugged

I did know that, but thank you. I always go to this site for any advice I need! Unfortunately, I lost my hen this morning 😥 so I won't be able to participate in this contest, or have chicks, (which I really needed and will now have to buy).
What state do you live in? If I have a good hatch, I'll give you some ( if we live near enough to each other).
