I'll set some eggs. Not sure what but maybe American Bresse, Blue and Black Copper Marans, Quail. I wish my call ducks would lay right now...

I did know that, but thank you. I always go to this site for any advice I need! Unfortunately, I lost my hen this morning so I won't be able to participate in this contest, or have chicks, (which I really needed and will now have to buy).

Is your hen broody? ( wanting to hatch chicks) Because you can't just stick eggs under any ole' hen and expect her to hatch them for you. Just saying, in case you didn't know!

Yes they don't quack at all. Females make a trilling noise. Males make a huff. They can fly though. I have one and she's the best duck ever. Yesterday she was on the roof of our house watching us eat dinner on the back porch

Setting my chicken eggs not sure how many I nabbed

What breeds are you doing or are they mixed? I love barnyard mixes

I set 11 eggs the other day to check fertility and all 11 are growing I should be set to hatch some nice babies for Easter.

We have a few people who just contacted my husband about chicks so we are seeing how many they want.

Sending some of my chicks off with the ducklings today to their new home. Hopefully I can get rid of at least 5-8 of them. I think we are up to 21ish ducklings but only 3 are staying as a payment for me hatching the ducklings

I will be setting some Pilgrim goose and Pekin duck eggs. I might add in some chicken eggs, but haven't decided yet. Looking for local guinea eggs too, but it might still be a little early here in NH.

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear it. Go to the farm store right now and get some chicks (or at least order some) to cuddle. You will feel better then.

My new additions that I hatched. I hope there are more people hatching ducklings because these will be not so little by Easter.
