My Pekin eggs are fertile so I'll have more ducklings around Easter time I just put the bantam chicks with the ducklings and they aren't picking on them now My husband told the chicks they are lucky that the ducks don't hold a grudge because they would squash them

I bought three giant Cochin on the way home from town had to pickup pain meds this morning so this was a planned purchase

My little Nankin hens have only just started laying again (It's been a long, nasty winter!) so I only have three tiny little eggs, at the moment. Hopefully we;ll get three or four more tomorrow, we'll just have to wait and see. I have my fingers crossed ... I want babeez!

I set up my new IncuView incubator yesterday and I have some questions about temperature. The temperature is set at 99.5 and I have two small thermometers inside that I have been moving around to check the temperature in different spots. It varies quite a bit, depending on where I place the thermometers. The lowest reading has been 98.4 and the highest has been 100.4. Is this a normal range inside of an incubator? Should I leave it set at 99.5, or change it?Since there are cooler spots and warmer spots, should I be moving the eggs around to a different place every time I need to open the incubator for other reasons?
