What kind of eggs from whole foods?

And what breed came out?
They both use a commercial breed

The hens from trader joes look like this:

Whole foods look like this and were brown eggs

We have pelletized pine bedding at our TSC and I'm pretty sure I've seen it at Runnings. After using a bag of it, I'm not sure it is or isn't better than pine shavings. I give all my birds grit, but in case... if your chicks are on any bedding they could possibly ingest, they need chick grit. If you're feeding anything other than ground feed, they need it for that, too.

Hello Ron
I am back. Met you at Karens house in Turlock years ago. I really haven't hatch many chicks in a long time. I really got a hatch a acholic plus way to many chickens then... Really miss the Easter hatch so I am going to watch you all have fun.. My hen are getting old so going to hatch one group to raise for eggs and pretty eggs.
Cleaning incubator as I write this note.
Still have a 2 marans of pretty good breeding and a beautiful 1/2 brahma 1/2 marans rooster. going hatch the eggs from these farm marans cross hens.
Wish I would have thought of the hatch earlier. I don't get great hatchesfrom these marans type eggs anyway. But love hatching!!!!!!

Hi Sue! It is good to see you here.

I want to hatch some more Pita Pintas this year. My hens are getting older now and I will need some new egg layers for next year.

Hopefully new castles will be over my then too!

I love mine! I had one cockerel initially that was ungentlemanly with the ladies, but he was the exception, I think. And even he was a sweetheartwith us, just was a one woman kinda guy who thought all of the others should be removed from their love nest. Lol They're a great breed though. We've enjoyed them a ton.
:)

This is awesome! Have you personally hatched them?
Yes I have. No longer have them however. If I remember correctly the eggs the hens laid were misshapen.
