So many fluff butts.
After all the drama yesterday of keeping these guys warm/alive I’m happy to see so many healthy hatches. Still have more to come too.
Men!That's funny you noticed one had the iridescent tail. The iridescent tail one is Dio. The full tail one is Ozzy. My husband can't even tell the difference
I guess I would take it out, but that's just me. It probably can't do any harm. If you decide to take it out, dip its beak in your waterer and then put in a warm spot--under brooding plate or under heat lamp.Chick 2 has hatched. Chick 1 is bothering chick 2 it trying to eat it's trail of yolk and gunk and climbing on chick 2. Does anyone think I should take chick 1 out now so chick 2 can dry in peace, or is this how it always is, not a big deal?
I'd put it in a cup. Make sure to give it some hydration too.Five hatched Yesterday. One can’t walk or hold its head up. I put vet tape on it’s legs ,they were sprawled our but it still not holding it’s head up. This egg when candling have a very large air sac and was smushed at the bottom of the egg. Didn’t think it would hatch. But it did. Hope it makes it. Needs intensive care now. But the other 4 are great!! 4 more to hatch on tomorrow or Monday.
