Chick 2 has hatched. Chick 1 is bothering chick 2 it trying to eat it's trail of yolk and gunk and climbing on chick 2. Does anyone think I should take chick 1 out now so chick 2 can dry in peace, or is this how it always is, not a big deal?
I guess I would take it out, but that's just me. It probably can't do any harm. If you decide to take it out, dip its beak in your waterer and then put in a warm spot--under brooding plate or under heat lamp.

I took chick 1 out for a little hold and introduced her to the brooder heat plate and water. This allowed chick 2 some rest. For now both are resting in the incubator since chick 1 didn't want to be in the brooder alone! I'll take her out again if she starts bothering chick 2 again. I took the opportunity to candle the remaining un-pipped eggs. I think the blue one has hope but the dark green I'm pretty sure do not have chicks in them. I find the colored eggs so hard to see into! I'll leave them in for now. This is fun but also stressful, it was much easier to let broody hens do this but then we miss all the action! I'm glad we got to see chick 2 hatch since chick one hatched in the night and we missed it. I got a bit of video of chick 2 hatching for the kids at school, will just need a lot of editing since the zipping was quite long.

Five hatched Yesterday. One can’t walk or hold its head up. I put vet tape on it’s legs ,they were sprawled our but it still not holding it’s head up. This egg when candling have a very large air sac and was smushed at the bottom of the egg. Didn’t think it would hatch. But it did. Hope it makes it. Needs intensive care now. But the other 4 are great!! 4 more to hatch on tomorrow or Monday.

I'd put it in a cup. Make sure to give it some hydration too.
