Thanks for the comments. I do also love the rooster and my son's picture. I really planned on getting rid of all roos, however. . . it may have a home here forever, unless it gets mean, then we will not have it. I got the windows at the local window store yesterday. They installed all of our house windows and doors in our home in last 4-5 years. So when I called him to see if they had any "extra" older windows, he came through with 5 really nice windows for only $10 a piece. I feel like we hit the jackpot! They raise and lower and have screens and look like they will be really easy to install and still have mesh on the outside. Has anyone else had luck calling those kind of places? I really recommend it, if they are tossing them anyway, they would be great for most chicken shed/barns. The chickens spent their first night outside last night, the coldest night we've had in a month or more, of course, they were fine this morning, I think they were smiling at all the wing room they have.
