12 day old chick won't walk suddenly! Help

The poop has changed in the last couple of days. It was a solid, tan color with some white, now it is a dark green/black liquid with some white. After I gave her the vitamin drops, her vent was pulsing? and she pooed what looked exactly like the drops (amber, clear liquid). The two others are still pooping solid, tan/white.

i had a chick do that a few weeks ago.... about the same age maybe a week older. i could not get it to pull through. it died.

i hope you have a better outcome!!!!!

Great news!!! She's standing this morning and her foot is uncurled!!! I've given her two doses of vitamins and a couple droppers of Pedialyte. She's still a shaky, but eating and preening again!!!

The strange thing is, I divided the brooder down the middle to isolate her. The divider is about 12 inches high and duct taped down (no openings at all). When I got up this morning, she was on the other side with the other two.

I'll keep posting on her progress. Thanks everyone.

Michelle,
Her poo doesn't look anything like that. Thanks for the link though.

Maybe she'll make it after all!

I'm not sure but people have posted that putting a tablespoon of natural apple cider vinegar into a gallon of water was helpful to all chicks, especially if one was puny or sickly. They recommended BRAGG brand, raw and unfiltered. It is in my local market so must be sold everywhere because Cambria, California, is nowhere! Just kidding!

Keep us posted!

She continues to improve. I wouldn't say she's out of the woods, but she's doing her happy dance on the feeder when she eats now. What a relief! I'll get some ACV next time I'm at the health food store. I have her on Pedialyte for now. Thanks again.
