Sure! I had 9 out of 15 hatch (apparently I couldn't count earlier). I am not sure about the others, hubby will candle them when he gets home, but we did have a power outage last week, so there is still some hope. Here's a pic with a few BL Polish thrown in.

We had two more hatch last night after hubby got home. So, that makes 11 out of 15 that went into lockdown, and since I actually only ordered 12, I'd say that is an awesome hatch!!!!

I think I have read this thread and the BBS one 5 times over now-waiting for my eggs to arrive in the mail..crossing fingers it will be tomorrow!! This will be my 1st time ever and I am using a still-air hovabator with auto turner. Any tips from more experienced hatchers out there? Any tips for these particular eggs? I am so excited-it's like a kid on Christmas Eve!

These are good for first timers as they are hardy little buggers . As you can see they even hatch with power outages. My electicity went off for 4 hrs once, I had 1-2 that didn't hatch, they would of, but the rest just popped out like always. The main thing is keeping your temp and humity stable
I started out with one of those little Giants, the temps were never the same , it would spike or drop all the time and though my hatches weren't as good as now, most of them still hatched. I have a sportsman now, and I usually get 100% hatches from these guys.

Do you recommend a hygrometer? I am obsessing over if the humidity is right in there. The temp has finally stabilized at 100 degrees. For bantam eggs I read that they evaporate at a faster rate than LF. Thus needing more humidity...but then I read when in doubt "less is better than too much-except during lockdown" I have the Hovabator, do I put water in just the center trough until lock down when I fill the outer ones as well?
I just called post office...the eggs made it to west sacramento and are headed for their destination, although my local post office has not scanned them yet. If it's my regular mail carrier should be here before noon!!

OKay! I just ordered the digital thermometer/hygrometer and Turbo Fan kit from GQF. Got both for $55, which was okay because listen to this warm and fuzzy story.

I have been communicating with a man through craigslist since Dec.4th about his hovabator. He answered my wanted ad. Timing of schedules has not been quite right until Yesterday, and by this time I feel like I know the guy! So, DH and 2 kids and I go out to his ranch in Zamora, CA spent 4 hours being shown around all his awesome stuff. Chickens, old tractors, orchard, work shops etc,..We set up the auto turner and it didn't appear to be working we took it apart and still nothing. Bummer right? Hovabator worked great, 1602N model. He orignally wanted $40 for whole setup which I thought was great. He ended up giving everything to me for FREE! I started to get teary and was so touched. I hadn't said a word about our money issues or anything that would have pushed him to do this. I was going to get the broken auto turner anyway and just buy a new motor! We talked about spiritual things, coincedences, our pasts, futures-and my husband and I left feeling like we had been reunited with a old friend. I had brought some fresh smoked trout, just to give him as a thanks for having us out to the ranch-which my DH thought was weird. The man called later and said he ate the whole thing for lunch it was great and thanked us for coming out and that he loved us. We felt the same. My DH and him have almost every little thing in common down to the clothes they were wearing yesterday!

On the way over there I had said to my husband that I felt that this meeting was in some way out of our hands, ya know, that it was bigger than just us. So, that's my story and I hope it gives ya'll a warm feeling today.
