12+ SQ australorp eggs

I agree with Muggs. When eggs are shipped in sawdust/shavings (large amounts in box, not just to secure in carton) it makes the box much heavier, and then (if ????!!!!!,) WHEN it is dropped, there is a lot more jarring force to the eggs than if they were packed with paper and bubble wrap. I have received eggs this way with MANY detached air cells

Jamie was very receptive to a PM I sent on a better way to wrap/package eggs. (Thank you Jamie for not taking offense...I meant none.

) It is heart breaking to receive damaged eggs...I've been the recipient of many poorly packaged eggs. I've learned a good number of things here on BYC when people speak up and are willing to assist.

Best of luck on your packaging and your auction.

I need an Australorp (fertile) cockerel/cock. Can any of you tell me where I might find one? The person from whom I purchased my hens doesn't have any available; his birds are huge, and he sells them quickly. I didn't need the roo when I bought the hens. But then Buford died. Thanks for the help.
