What color is the roo in the third pic ? I have a bantam roo the same color . I thought he was just a mix but maybe not . his mother was deffinitly black and his father was either blue splash or black

Splash X Splash = 25% Blue 25% Black and 50% splash
Black X Blue = 50% Blue and 50% black
Black X Recessive white =50% black and 50% white or what ever color the white is hiding
Black X Dominant white = 50%black and 50% white

Oh the Bird in the third pic would be considered a blue duckwing or possibly wild type hard to tell as he carries several modifying genes I am still working with him.

I have a roo that color as well. I call him a blue duckwing but I am not sure that it is correct. He sure stamps that on his chicks though. Of my 3 breeding pens I can tell before looking at their ID what chicks are his. My other roos mark their chicks differently.
I am getting blue, black and lemon undercolors according to what hens I cross him with. So cool!

The last one is correct only if the white is hetero for white. If it is homozygous for dominant white, ALL the chicks will be white.

Thanks for the correction, I was a little sleepy,LOL do you raise araucana as well and how did you come by your genetic info. Just curious as I am now working on the colors which modify E,ER,eWH,and eb on the E-locus but there are more modifiers than I had originally thought.But I have figured out that the way to achieve Buff ,white millie fleur etc is through these modifiers. I want both Buff araucana and millie fleur araucana.
