12 week old Australorp.. Is she a he?

I’m new to raising chickens but I’m thinking these tail feathers are looking more like a rooster as I notice they are more curved than my other two “girls”...Thoughts?

Yes, that is a male. Also has the wrong comb for an Australorp, so maybe a hatchery black Wyandotte instead.

Or he could be an Australorp and Wyandotte mix if you bought him from a backyard breeder and not a hatchery.

Just as I thought... darn. Perhaps Ellie May isn’t a fitting name after all lol. Also, I just looked up both breeds and I certainly can see this comb isn’t right! It was a backyard Breeder and I was told it was an Australorp and the lady had all her chickens separated by breed. She also had Wyandottes. Maybe she mixed the chicks up? Interesting. Thanks for the info!

He is a very handsome young cockerel! He looks to be a Wyandotte Australorp mix, although I could be wrong. Gorgeous Naked Neck in the back by the way
