12 week old barred Plymouth Rock- Cockerels?

Crazy for Chickens! That's why I told them to wait, they don't look old enough to have any male feathering just yet. Their tail feathers haven't even begun to grow out that much. My BPR is hatchery quality. I wouldn't be so sure. Not disagreeing, just saying.

The combs on those birds are hardly pale and the one picture shows definite wattle development. They're cockerels.

I'm personally leaning towards slow-developing cockerels here, though time with tell. Is it correct to assume these aren't mere hatchery birds? They appear to be of unusually high quality.

Thanks for your advice, I'm thinking the same but am grateful for everyone's input they are from a commercial breeder, just very lovely looking birds!

Pullets I don’t see anything that says cockerel and we can usually tell at 6 weeks not 12

You're more than welcome. I could tell they were wonderfully bred.

While not 100% confident as to gender, reason I'm currently leaning towards cockerel is because heritage Barred Rocks seem to develop very slowly. Pretty sure Imperial Ringlet BRs take around a year to mature? Time will tell for certain. There's a good chance I'm incorrect.
