I posted on the Ameraucana thread a couple weeks ago, and then I found this forum that's designated to this type of question, so I'm putting it on here. When I originally posted it some said pullet, some said cockerel. He/she continues to act more like a cockerel, pecking at my pants, more upright posture and just plain seems different than the others. It seems like the tail feathers are becoming more roosterish? I am new to this, though, and this is my only Ameraucana so I don't have something else to compare. What do you think?

Yes, rooster. Btw, why do you think it is mottled? Was it sold that way to you? I've had a few birds with the white around the face. It usually fills in black as they get older.

It does have some white to make it look molted, its a beautiful EE either way!

I actually think this one is an Ameraucana....legs are not green.

How old is it? ETA: never mind..now I see the 12 weeks old.

Not sure if the 1 row(F) vs. 3 rows(M) of peas apply to Ameraucanas like they do EE's..and I can't tell how many this one has anyway..lol.
Don't see any obviously pointed hackle and saddle feathers either.

Yes, one row female, three rows male.

Yes, this bird did come from a project mottled Am breeder - who has mottled and solid-colored birds in her breeding program.
