12-week-old Olive Egger Roo confirmation

I have no idea! He was just sold as an "Olive Egger Hen" and turned out to be a Roo!
Where did you get him?
The pea comb and beard says he is either from an Am or an EE...
.....so 50% to 25% chance of him passing on blue egg gene.

I got him from one of our local feed stores. You’re spot on with the beard and the pea comb though. Pretty neat! If I bred him with a Maran, and he happened to pass on the blue egg gene, would that baby be an olive egger?

What kind of hen is he standing over in the second pic?
Such a pretty girl! She’s a dark Brahma chicken.

Without pure bred parentage, you'd have to wait until the female offspring laid to claim Olive Eggers.
