Sorry, I hope your daughter is not too disappointed. 
My daughters favorite ended up being a rooster as well and we just sold him a few days ago. She was OK with it though because we still have four silkies left. Our white rooster that we decided to keep was originally named Jane mostly out of wishful thinking.Out of 14 that we hatched we kept six just based on personal preference and sold eight of them and then half of them ended up being boys!
This is Jane as a day old chick and earlier today! He is 10 weeks old!
