12 week old spraddle legs & panting issue

She should have frequent breaks from the sling to rest and stretch if possible, but I would leave her in the sling for most of the daytime. A lot depends on your time and how she tolerates it. If she loves her sling, she could sleep in it, but it just seems to me that she might enjoy sleeping lying down some. That way she could stretch out legs and flap her wings. Bone broth from mutton or other meats probably would be very good to get vitamins and calcium into her. I am not an expert on chicken nutrition, since I use a complete commercial feed. Tuna and salmon can be used for extra protein, and liver is good as well.
Actually when I put her in the sling yesterday she took a while to get comfortable but then started to go to sleep in It! I will keep her in it longer today as you say and will observe and see if she is comfortable. :)

For calcium I am getting her seashell grit as suggested by Saaniya and have also gotten calcium tonic for her. I also gave her eggsheels (I powdered them at home and mixed them in her food).

I want to say something ... If there is any inflammation in joints it's probably not a good ídea to make her walk. Let her rest for some days ... Then I have gently streach her legs straight and forth for some excercise. But not now. Let her rest. Chicken heals way faster than a human and they don't give up easily. She she be fine , just regularly nurture her. She will come out strong eventually.

thank you so much for your positive words! I have been feeling very down recently regarding Tooki and I really needed this! I do hope that she gets better and that her legs recover soon.

I saw her scratch her head yesterday with her damaged foot at full speed! She was sitting while doing this but still it made me happy to see her use her foot. I am planning a wheelchair for her as I type, with wheels and everything to make her mobile. :)

@Tanya22 how is she now
Still mostly the same. She cannot get up but drags herself around. I will put her in her sling again today. Meanwhile, I have kept her feet tied together as they spread apart if they aren't bandaged. The bandages help her in slight movement.

PS I spoke with someone today and she said that Tooki's weight would not be more than 2 kgs. More than 1 kg but less than 2. I really hope that's true.

A bit more calcium would be helpful I think. Give her time and make sure she doesn't feel too drowsy except sleeping time . That's bad n life threatening. The wheel chair for her sounds good. It will support her in walking. If possible arrange keep her under infrared light for 2-3 hours daily. That would be helpful in these cold times.

I understand. I am giving her a calcium tonic daily (.25 ml soaked in a very tiny piece of bread) and also vitamins (.3 ml daily).
I keep on checking on her because I have to make her drink water. I can't keep a bowl of water around her as she fidgets a lot and ends up soaking her place.
Where I live the temperature right now is about 22 degrees and it drops to around 8 degrees at night. Should I use the infrared in these temperatures?

U should definitely use infrared as far as I read different sad articles about chicken. I mean to say .. u should provide the direct photon heat (not to be mistaken with high humidity) ... Either sun or infrared or even a bulb atleast a 100 watt filament bulb for 2-3 hrs a day at these extreme harsh climate . Once she is good to walk ... She don't need all these. She will find her way to heat herself.

I understand. I will arrange for one right away and update you all. :)
