What about driving? Can you have your girl trained to drive and get yourself a cart? (I know little to nothing about your condition, so do not know if this is even possible)

I'm very sorry to hear about this heartbreaking choice. I have a degenerative brittle bone disease and I know someday I will be in the same boat. Sending lots of hugs your way.

Maybe put the word out in the local 4H clubs too. Your mare sounds like she is worth her weight in gold, I hope you can find her a great place to be.

Vets and farriers are a good way to get the word out. They know who takes good care of their animal and who doesn't. They may have a client that has just asked them if they know of anything for sale.

Thank you!! Yes she has won multiply times in Western Pleasure. She needs to have her muscle rebuilt from sitting for awhile but, this mare after about 10 mins drops her head down into a headset and is ready. I can let her sit bump her twice and she is in show mode. I wish you lived closer too
