Ron I’m hoping to start today with some/few Pita Pintas if I get permission to use the spare room. Maybe store some up for staggered hatch as well. IF.....

I set my 12 Brahmas on late Thursday night. Hopefully I will get actual Brahmas in the right colors unlike my other chickens I hatched this year.
To infinity and beyond.oh do not get me wrong I have some due 1-2 and will be setting a few more chicken eggs for the same date.... just so I can have someone to "train" my turkey poults.... but it looks like we will be setting eggs weekly from now till ?????? march ?????

I seldom let my temps under 100.5. 101 should be fine for short period.Knew I should have waited for the Brinsea cabinet before hatching anymore...
Checked on the bator this morning, was at 98.5. Last night it got up to 101.The house stays at 70 during the day and 66 during the night. So the incubator is fluctuating with the room temps.
I’ve hatched a lot of babies from this cheapy yellow top incubator, but it sure is struggling to self regulate this time around. Any suggestions? Already have it in the styrofoam base, which does help. Want to get through this hatch, then no more until the Brinsea!

I’ve built a box of insulation around mine to help keep it at the proper temps. My house temps are similar to yours. Maybe some towels around the incubator so that they don’t interfere with the operation. View attachment 2448206
Just started incubator for this hatch. Yeah a little late but I wanted a couple more eggs. There is a front to this as well
Good hatch rate at those temps. I’d almost rather 101.Great idea! I will have to see whats available for insulation type material. The last hatch stayed at 98.5 almost the entire time. Only lost 4 out of the 15 shipped eggs. Was a bit frustrating though and that’s when I knew this incubator was no longer holding temps like it used to.
