I have a question... do the eggs have to be from your chickens? I will decorate eggs, but the eggs we get from our girls are brown. (I know it’s possible to decorate brown eggs, I just prefer white ones) and we usually buy eggs from the store to decorate (I know, I shouldn’t buy eggs from the store, especially the cheap white ones that come from poor caged hens, but...)

In the Halloween egg decorating contest, my adult hens were in molt, and my pullets hadn’t begun laying. I ended up just using store bought eggs, which was allowed. I would assume the same goes for this contest
