Amazing. Do you sell eggs? I had LF Silver Ameraucanas for a few years before I got wiped out by a few unfortunate accidents. They were lovely birds.
I do when I have extras 👍 $40 a dozen ship included. Mainly have bantam whites, and gold based blacks some split to lavender. But I have a few bantam wheaten, silvers, and blues that carrying recessive white.

Silvers look very nice, I got out of most ofmy large fowl due to feed bills lol

Lovely! I can relate to the high feed bills. That's part of the reason I switched to bantam Chanteclers instead of large fowl.

Honestly I don't know! I've only ever hatched chickens and quail so this is a new adventure for me. I was suppose to pick up a dozen runner duck eggs but they stopped laying so when I arrived I was given a mixed dozen. Possible Muskovy, runner, cayuga, crested. So I have no idea which egg would be which
Thats always fun, to be surprised, though!

I see all of you are entered as "yes" for setting eggs on the spreadsheet. Did you all set eggs? Please send @OneMountainAcres a conversation and let her know how many eggs you set. Thanks!
I also said my info was correct

I found the cure for this...hatch constantly. I add eggs every Friday, so I get chicks every Friday. :)
Hahaha that is an amazing idea

Im running my styrofoam hovabators 1602n, 1588, and 2370 right now. Not ready to set up cabinet til warms up a bit more. Best of luck with ur hatch👍👍
Thanks

Yes, but keep an eye on humidity. I’ve incubated chicken and duck eggs together several times. Never misted the duck eggs. I just kept the humidity level. A chicken, a turkey, a guinea even can hatch duck eggs. I understand misting, I just don’t do it, and want to help ease your mind about combining the hatch. If the humidity is too high for the guineas, cut back on misting the duck eggs.
Misting the eggs does the opposite of raising humidity. It makes the air cells draw down more-- kind of an opposite thing. It has to do with the moisture evaporating off of the egg

We have severe weather warnings for tomorrow that are apparently bad enough that they're closing the school for the day. This is a first for me other than for hurricanes or that snow day we had 3 years ago, lol. I sure hope my incubators don't lose power...
Do you have a generator, I keep a small one just for my incubators 2500watt Coleman and it will run my 3 incubators.
