Awesome!I got 9/9 internal pips in my duck eggs!
Unfortunately, shipped eggs or day old chicks is the only way to get certain breeds here.![]()
Great! So far for me I've got 9/10 internal pips for set #1, 1 external pip, and just one death due to not external pipping in time.
Lol, that sounds about right!
I know, silly is good! I appreciate it!I was just being silly.
Hope your next shipped batch works out! ❤❤
Technically, you can stop turning anytime after DAY 14. My bantams usually pip DAY 19 and hatch DAY 20. You can wait to up the humidity late DAY 18 or early DAY 19. Good luck!Serious question....
A dozen+ of my eggs are bantam. I did not realize when I put everything in the bators that bantam eggs can hatch earlier than standard eggs. So, they all went in at the same time.
Having learned this, I'm trying to decide my best course of action. Should I lock everything down early? One article I read said it was ok to do so. Or, put the bantams in lockdown in one incubator and try to squeeze all the standard eggs into the other for a few more days of turning?
Additionally, I have about 2 dozen Icelandic eggs, which I was told (by the lady I purchased them from) tend to hatch a day or two early. I could put those in with the bantams for the earlier lock down.
Right now everyone is mixed in both bators. Only my second time hatching, and first bantams. Don't want to screw up!![]()
