They are going to be mixed, unless an accident happens! I had a golden Cascade that I hope fathered some. This one seem a little Golden
Four have hatched so far, 2 look like Rouens!

#2 to hatch. He sure looks like a Rouen. I have a duck and drake of the same breed, and he guards her. Wishfull thinking with 4 dads and 4 moms!

My 8th hatchling passed away last night It hatched way too early and didn't have time to absorb its yolk sac before it ruptured in the incubator. I really tried my best to do everything I could to save it but things just didn't work out. He/she passed away peacefully among brothers and sisters. @OneMountainAcres, please drop my final count down to 9 :'(

Of course. Did you learn anything from this hatch? It hurts, but if you discovered something, it can be done differently next time.

Yes, it was my oldest stored Lav Orp egg. I think it may have had something to do with age, storage, etc but it might have also been encouragment from the other chicks to hatch earlier because I didn't get them out sooner
