12th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-Along

I have collected two more so far today. I have three in the refrigerator, and... I might have been collecting hatching eggs since before today. Like maybe 20 eggs, and 16 are the breed I’ll hatch.

I’ve decided not to hatch Dizzy’s egg.It would be better for the chicks sake if I didn’t perpetuate her bad genes and I can always find a healthier bird that would be a better match.I want to be a good breeder and be a good example.

I realized late last night the all of the chicken eggs I set are from pullets. This hatch probably won't go as well.

Anyone else entering the Farthest Shipped Eggs Contest?

Unfortunately, the eggs I'd hoped to get shipped in for the EHAL will not be sent out in time, so I'm out for that one.


Hopefully, instead, I'll be hatching from my own Marans, but it'll all depend on if my Silkie roosters have been breeding them, because I do not want any more Silkie mixes if I can help it.
