How many times should I turn my eggs? I'm turning by hand and don't want to leave the lid open too often. So far I have turned them as little as 3x's/day up to 11.

Three minimum, so you’re doing fine.

Today is day 7. I'm down from 20 to 15. 2 yolkers, and 3 early quitters. The rest look good although their development is far from consistent. Remember the seller gave me some that were partially incubated. I did my best to spot and label those early one but hatch dates will still be quite the surprise.

good news! My local tractor supply has dispensed with those new brooders with the cold screaming chicks! They are back to using the tub‘s and heat lamps and the chicks look healthy.

Yes. I added heat sinks, Hot Hands and wrapped the incubator in a towel.

I am on day 6 and it went out for less than half an hour
